VBS Ideas

Have you began planning this year's VBS? Do you have material from years gone by that you might like to donate? Or would you be interested in a VBS material swap? If so, leave a comment.

Thanks!

Project:VBS

I LOVE teaching children's Bible class. I'm also a huge fan of VBS and have always wanted to do mission work so I'm combining some of my favorite things and calling it, Project: VBS.

The goal of this project is to strengthen, educate, and encourage. The mission is to glorify God. The strategy will be to help with and conduct VBS for churches across our country. Why wait for people to come to Jesus? Let's take Him and His Word into our communities.

There are children in this country who don't know our Savior. They've never heard the Bible class songs that we've grown up with. No one has taught them about God. No one prays with them at night. No one shows them what true love is. Their outlook on the world comes from television, video games, and broken families.

That needs to change.

This Summer, Lord willing, a team associated with Project: VBS will be traveling to Miami to assist the Homestead Church of Christ with their VBS.

Also, this Summer some co-workers and friends are going to "throw" a VBS in their community. We're not using the church building. We're going into the community, setting up tables, teaching kids about Christ, and getting to know them and their families.

We're building church relationships without the church building and we hope you'll join us in your town.

However you do VBS, I want to encourage you to DO it. Yes, it's a lot of work. Yes, it can be stressful and time consuming, but there is nothing more rewarding then teaching the Bible to children.

Get involved and make a difference.
